Jim Cooper's Bio

Jim Cooper is a Montana son and first generation auctioneer.
After graduating from the Western College of Auctioneering in 1997, Jim found another lifelong passion and began his career in auctioneering. Knowing the value of professionalism, Jim quickly got certified as a Personal Property Appraiser and then became a Professional Ringmen’s Institute graduate. Jim is also a current member of the Montana Auctioneers Association and the National Auctioneers Association.
Jim’s awards included being 2010 winner of the Montana Bid Call Championship.
Jim grew up on a ranch outside of Fromberg, MT, where he still helps manage livestock, oversee the land and take care of the horses. Jim’s other occupational hats include custom carpenter, outfitter and hunting guide and, most importantly, entertainer to his grandchildren.
